Functional Independence: Just the right amount of pressure and speed to provide good function without damaging fingers that lack sensation*. Infinite finger positioning with no detents, such as with a ratchet splint, so objects grasped do not slip out of hand.

Ease of Use: To grip an object, intuitively hold button to close fingers until actuator stops running.

Versatile Control: Accepts any two standard adaptive switches, even an EMG muscle sensing

Convenient to Wear: Lightweight power actuator mounts directly to splint for an ease to don/doff. Only one wire easily routed through users shirt sleeve.

Durable: Resulting from 3 years of real-world use by the developer!

Easily Maintained: Primary components subject to wear or damage (wire & plugs) can be quickly and inexpensively replaced within a few minutes for only a few dollars from most electronics retailers!

Cognitive Muscle Control: New Myoelectric Switch Control now available! Myoelectric sensors placed on one or two functional muscles replace switch control. Upgradable with future Myoelectric controls based on prosthetic hand technology currently under development. Many more subtle detail improvements address reliability and maintainability as well as control and usability concerns of similar products (no longer available) from other suppliers of the past.

Testimonials

"the last time this veteran used [his Bilateral EMG PowerGrips], he was able to write his name – for the first time since becoming paralyzed; he started to cry. He even stated, 'that’s better than my original writing'." - VA Rehabilitation Engineer

Hey Steve, This is Jesse, the person that was hounding you about the Power Grip all the time! LOL!

I just wanted to thank you so much for the unbelievably thoughtful gifts that you sent me . Thanks for all the everyday utensils I can now use! This Grip and the tools work amazing. I have it set up just like I envisioned! By the end of the first day I was comfortable wearing, and functioning with the grip. Moving my arm around was no problem at all. I just need a little practice hitting the buttons that are set up perfect for me. Eating something as tricky as soup is already second nature. Now with the added rubber grippers, my life is even easier! I can grab items on my own with no problem.

I think the new knife will definitely come in handy and the scissors will take a little practice. Me and my step brother have seen the adjustments on the back of the motor that opens up the fingers a little bit but as you bring the fingers back reduces the closings on them so they won't touch the thumb. We well have that adjusted by our Ortho.

For years, even before I knew about the Power Grip, I thought if I had something robotic like this I'll be able to do so much more on my own. None of my therapist or any vendor locally has ever seen or heard of anything like this. So far everybody I have shown this to is absolutely Dumbfoundead, and think it is genius! Even my Ortho that measured my custom fit loves it! I am unbelievably happy with my Inclusive Technologies Power Grip!

I really can't thank you all enough for all you do! Please tell Mark many thanks for being a genius and I thank you Steve for being the nicest, most patient sales person I've ever met and had the pleasure of dealing with! I mean this seriously. Absolutely Great!

Jesse Chilbrith, Sauquoit, NY
